This 1966 Lincoln Continental convertible was refurbished under previous ownership, reportedly around the early 1990s, and is finished in red over white leather. The car is powered by a 462ci V8 linked with a dual-range three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip rear differential. Equipment includes a power-operated white convertible top, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, 15″ steel wheels with polished covers, a power-adjustable front bench, a tilt steering wheel, and power windows.
The car was finished from the factory in Cranberry and was refinished in red around the early 1990s. Exterior details include a power-operated white convertible top, quad headlights, a driver-side mirror, a retractable antenna, a Lincoln hood ornament, and chrome bumpers and trim. Imperfections are shown up close in the gallery.
The 15″ steel wheels feature polished covers and are mounted with American Classic tires measuring P235/75. Power steering was standard, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The rear springs were replaced in the fall of 2024.
The cabin houses bench seating that was reupholstered during the refurbishment in white leather with red piping along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and replacement carpeting. Amenities include a power-adjustable front bench seat, power windows, power locks, and automatic temperature control. The air conditioning and Custom Autosound AM/FM radio do not work. The seller notes that the right rear door window does not automatically return to the closed position when the door is closed and the top is up, and that the window switch needs to be used.
The two-spoke tilting steering wheel fronts a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles, approximately 320 of which were added under current ownership. The right turn signal indicator on the dash is inoperative.
The 462ci V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 340 horsepower and 485 lb-ft of torque. It is said to have been rebuilt in the 1990s. An electric fuel pump was added.
