This 1983 Porsche 911SC coupe was first sold on BaT in April 2019 before being acquired by the seller on BaT in September 2020. Finished in Ruby Red Metallic over Champagne leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a sunroof, fog lights, a carbon-fiber airbox, front sport seats, a MOMO steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, and a cassette stereo. Work performed under current ownership has included reupholstering the seats, repairing the clock, and replacing the speakers and battery.
The car is finished in Ruby Red Metallic (X7) and features a sunroof, fog lights, a front spoiler, H1 headlights, and rear bumperettes. The windshield has been replaced, and the trunk lid was repaired and refinished in the 1990s. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.
The 16″ Fuchs wheels with black centers are mounted with Dunlop Direzza tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated rotors.
The cabin features front sport seats that have been reupholstered in Champagne leather, at which time the seat rails were replaced. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, Porsche-branded floor mats, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo linked to replacement speakers.
The three-spoke MOMO Monza steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 120k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. The analog clock was repaired under current ownership.
The 3.0-liter flat-six features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 172 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque. The battery was replaced and a carbon-fiber airbox was installed under current ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. The clutch cable was replaced under current ownership.
