This 1975 Porsche 911S Targa was refurbished in red and modified several decades ago with Carrera-style rear wheel arch flares and graphics as well as a ducktail rear spoiler, a Weber carburetor conversion, and SC-style doors with power windows. Powered by a 2.7-liter flat-six mated to a five-speed manual transaxle, the car is finished in red over black upholstery and equipped with a black removable roof panel, a black Targa bar, fog lights, body-color bumpers, 16″ Fuchs wheels, front bucket seats, power windows, and a Sony CD stereo.
The car underwent a color change from orange to Guards Red over 25 years ago, according to the seller, and widened rear wheel arch flares were installed along with a ducktail rear spoiler and SC-style doors and mirrors. Further details include Carrera side graphics and engine cover badging as well as a black removable roof panel, a black Targa bar, body-color headlight trim rings, fog lights, and body-color impact bumpers.
The 16″ Fuchs wheels feature black centers and are mounted with staggered-width Dunlop Direzza DZ101 tires. A space-saver spare is stored in the front trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. The brake master cylinder was replaced in February 2025.
Black leather upholstery covers the front bucket seats, and appointments include power windows, an analog clock, a Sony CD stereo, and a heated rear window.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that consists of a centrally mounted tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. A Digi-Guard keypad is located to the right of the ignition switch. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and now shows 34k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. The total mileage is unknown.
The 2.7-liter flat-six was retrofitted with dual Weber 40IDA carburetors under previous ownership, and the seller tells us that Carrera-style timing chain tensioners and replacement exhaust manifolds have been installed. The oil was changed in February 2025. The starter sometimes requires multiple attempts before engaging.
